Purpose
- We don’t ask our animals to perform. We invite them to participate. Every experience is grounded in their well-being first. They choose to step into their greater purpose and leave old wounds in the past.
Why We Exist:
Because healing isn’t passive. It’s active, raw, and real. It happens in motion, in connection, and in the quiet, honest moments shared between a human and an animal who have both known pain and chosen to rise anyway. It’s watching the weakened steps of a malnourished rescue get stronger and braver. It’s the first time someone lays down their guard beside a 1200-pound force for good. It’s in the calm of a beach ride, the steady presence of a horse beside you, and the breath you didn’t know you were holding finally released.
Healing is found in presence, not perfection. It’s messy and beautiful, full of setbacks and breakthroughs, and it demands that we show up, again and again. At Redemption Ranch, we create space for that process. A space to rebuild trust, reclaim strength, and rediscover what it means to feel safe, seen, and whole.

Story of Indy
Redemption Ranch began with a quiet promise made in a NICU room, beside a fragile baby girl named Indy. Born at just 24 weeks, she faced enormous odds. Her twin brother passed away after five days, and doctors warned that if Indy survived, she might never walk, talk, or or live independently.
During those early days, her aunt made a simple vow:
“If you live, I’ll buy you all the ponies you could ever dream of.”
And live she did—with fire, wit, and a heart bigger than the sea. Indy is smart, quick with a joke, and deeply compassionate. But her life hasn’t been easy. Kids can be cruel, and the world often doesn’t make room for those who are different. Like so many of the animals who arrive here, Indy has had to fight to be seen, understood, and accepted.
That’s why the ranch means more than just ponies, it’s a kept promise. A sanctuary. A place where being different is honored, not hidden. Where healing lives in every unspoken bond and moment of understanding. It’s where rescued animals and remarkable people meet and remind each other they’re not alone.
On her 12th birthday, Indy was presented with the ranch named in her honor, and she’s not just the inspiration. She’s the boss. Her story is woven into every second chance we give. Indy’s Redemption Ranch is a testament to what love, faith, patience, and fierce determination can build, even from the most fragile beginnings.
Transformations
Life changing. Seriously, Ashley and Titan changed my life. Realized I shouldn’t be ashamed of what I did, I should be proud. I do deserve to relax and appreciate the things I’ve accomplished. Everytime I meet someone and talk about my past, I say there is the meanest nice woman named Ashley that made me look deeeeeep inside myself and answer some dark questions. Made me see the world in a new light.
It’s so interesting to notice the small changes in [him] after the sessions. I’ve been having trouble sleeping again recently. After yesterday’s encounter with Spirit I slept until 8:30am this morning!”

The mission behind the ranch is so much more than animal rescue that just supporting this organization is a great way to give back. On top of that they offer different experiences including feeding Zebras (!), swimming with ponies and confronting your fears with equine coaching. I tried all three and came out learning new things about myself as well as having the experience of a lifetime. Highly recommend!
“I’m a veterinarian. Along with that I grew up with horses, so naturally I have a respect, admiration, and a feel for them. Because of my background, I had heard about equine-assisted therapy. I had never participated in it, but thought “I just want to see what this is like so I’m more educated.” I wasn’t really planning on getting anything personal out of it other than some quality time with one of God‘s beautiful creatures. Oh, pride and naivety.
